Growing Cut Flowers at Home with Blue Sky Flower Farm

Ready to grow bouquets right in your own backyard? Join us for a fun and practical cut flower workshop with Rachael of Blue Sky Flower Farm and learn how to turn a simple garden space into armfuls of beautiful, seasonal blooms.

In this one-hour seminar (with time for Q&A), Rachael will walk through the foundations of successful cut flower gardening in Minnesota — including the best varieties for our climate, simple seed-starting methods, planting tips, harvesting for longer vase life, and easy arranging ideas so your flowers don’t just grow well… they look amazing on the table too.

Whether you have a few raised beds, a big backyard, or just a sunny corner you’d like to make more joyful, this class is designed for gardeners of all skill levels. You’ll leave with practical knowledge, local growing insight, and the confidence to grow flowers that truly thrive here.

Blue Sky Flower Farm is a family-owned, 10-acre flower farm nestled between Lakeville and Elko-New Market. We grow specialty cut flowers for designers, florists, garden centers, and our own farmstand — all rooted in the belief that local flowers bring beauty, connection, and a little extra joy to everyday life.
